MEET OUR TEAM

JON LOUNSBURY

A native of Winthrop, Massachusetts, Jon brings over two decades of experience as a player, coach, and mentor to the game of hockey.

Jon attended Bridgton Academy for a post-graduate year (2000–2001), where he still holds the school record for most goals and points in a season. He went on to earn both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Marketing and Communications from the University of Southern Maine (USM). During his time at USM, Jon was a four-time ECAC All-Conference selection, a two-time All-American, and became the program’s all-time leading defenseman in scoring.

Following his collegiate career, Jon played six years of professional hockey, including four seasons with the Huntsville Havoc. In 2006, he led all league defensemen in scoring with 55 points in 60 games.

After retiring from professional play, Jon returned to Bridgton Academy as an administrator, where he used his extensive network—spanning NCAA Division I to Division III programs—to help place over 120 players in college hockey. He later coached junior hockey in Boston with the Walpole Express (EHL), guiding more than 100 players to NCAA opportunities.

Over the past several years, Jon has continued to refine his expertise in player development through work with the NHL and other elite programs. He also spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at the College of the Holy Cross (NCAA Division I) and has trained numerous amateur and professional players as a private skills coach.

At Eleven Hockey, Jon works closely with players at every level—from youth hockey to the NHL—providing on-ice skill development, video coaching, and mentorship. His passion lies in helping players elevate their game, both technically and mentally, to reach their highest potential.
